Mike and Alexis have absconded from their sleeping quarters in order to steal the official Board of Corrective Women punishment book and to smuggle that book out of the Institute grounds to pass on to the Male Liberation Front (MLF). The plan it seems was for the MLF to cause a scandal surrounding the Institute with respect to the levels of strict corporal punishment administered in the Institute.
